The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering
FNSPE is a leading institution in offering education in the nuclear physics and mathematics fields. We combine science with the enthusiasm of talented students. Get quality education based on deep foundations in mathematics, physics and individual approach to students all part of Czech Technical University in Prague. The University was founded in 1707 as the first technical university in Europe. Many great personalities have been part of the university, including the famous physicist Christian Doppler.
Studying physics
Focus on many problems of mathematical physics, quantum information and communication, particle physics, plasma and tokamak physics and more. Cooperate with many leading scientific centres in Europe and the world, including CERN and BNL. Join young, dynamic teams with a strong professional outlook. Operate faculty’s fusion reactor (tokamak) called Golem.
Studying Nuclear Engineering
Explore experimental Nuclear physics and technology, personal dosimetry and dosimetry of Nuclear power facilities. Expand applications of ionising radiation in science, technology, medicine and other fields using radiation sources or radionuclides. Develop computational methods for monitoring radiation interactions with matter and evaluating biological effects of radiation based on determining relevant dosimetric quantities.
